Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of City Drones ("the game"), operated by Kingsbridge Consultancy ("we", "us"). By playing, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the game.

1. Who can play

You must be at least 13 years old (or 16 where required in the EU/UK). If you buy gems, you confirm you're legally able to make the purchase.

2. What City Drones is

City Drones is a flight game — a toy for exploring photorealistic 3D recreations of real cities in your browser. It is not a navigation, surveying, mapping or real-world flight tool. Positions, altitudes and imagery are approximate and must not be relied on for any real-world purpose. The game is provided for entertainment "as is".

3. Your account

You can play without an account. If you sign in, you do so with a one-time link sent to your email; keep access to that inbox secure, as anyone with it can reach your account. You're responsible for activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised use.

4. Gems & purchases

• Gems are a virtual in-game currency used as flight fuel and rewards. They have no monetary value, cannot be exchanged for cash, and cannot be transferred or sold outside the game.
• You can earn gems by playing, or buy optional gem packs. Purchases are one-time (no subscription), priced in US dollars, and processed by Stripe; by purchasing you also agree to Stripe's terms. We don't store your card details.
• Gems are delivered to your wallet immediately after a successful payment.
• We may change gem prices, pack sizes, earn rates and fuel costs at any time. Changes don't affect gems you already hold.

5. Refunds

Because gems are digital goods delivered instantly, gem purchases are generally non-refundable once the gems are credited, except: (a) where a purchase failed, was duplicated, or the gems were not delivered; (b) where you have a non-waivable statutory right (for example, certain consumer or distance-selling rights in the EU/UK); or (c) at our discretion. To request a refund or report a problem, email [email protected] with your purchase details and we'll help.

6. Fair play & acceptable use

Please don't: cheat or exploit bugs to gain gems or leaderboard positions; choose a pilot name that is offensive, impersonates someone, or infringes rights (pilot names are public — we may change or remove them and suspend accounts); harass or abuse other players; scrape, overload or attack the service; attempt to extract, reuse or resell the underlying map data or API keys; reverse-engineer the game; or access it with bots or automated tools. We may suspend or terminate access for breaches.

7. Your content

Your pilot name, leaderboard entries and in-flight presence are shown publicly to other players. By using them you grant us a non-exclusive licence to display them within the game. We may moderate, hide or remove them.

8. Map data & third parties

The buildings, terrain and imagery are provided by Google Photorealistic 3D Tiles and remain Google's property, subject to Google's terms. We don't own that data and can't guarantee its accuracy, availability or coverage of any city. Payments and emails are handled by Stripe and Postmark respectively under their own terms.

9. Our intellectual property

The game, its code, design, name and branding are owned by us. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to play for your own non-commercial enjoyment. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

10. Availability & changes

We may add, change, suspend or discontinue the game, any city, mode or feature at any time, including where map data becomes unavailable from Google. We don't guarantee uninterrupted availability.

11. Disclaimers

The game is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and accuracy. You use it at your own risk and must not rely on it for navigation or any real-world decision.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or loss of data, gems or progress. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability to you is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or US$50. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

13. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your misuse of the game or breach of these terms.

14. Termination

You may stop using the game at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these terms. Gems have no cash value and are not refundable on termination except as set out in section 5.

15. Governing law & changes

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Kingsbridge Consultancy is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and subject to any mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence. We may update these terms; the "effective" date shows the latest version, and continued play means you accept the changes.
